In this type, the teams have to battle with other teams in weekly basis to earn points in each category or team points at each week. Selecting a draft of players in the team is done through two methods, auction and serpentine. The auction is a draft of players based on the points they had. The players are given points to be used up in the draft. If the draft is full then the roster of players is full. In the serpentine draft style, the players are in randomly selected to man each round. Unlike the auction draft, the player's in the serpentine plays first at the first round, and plays last at the proceeding around. The serpentine is the usual draft for the game.
After having done all stuff above makes a final draft of the game. You could carry a league for just a season or prefer to keep it for the next season such as keeper leagues. Decide on other things such as the playoff design, choosing agents, trading rules and most of all, the winner's prize. You could have an entrance fee or registration fee for each team.
You can have as many teams in your Fantasy Baseball League. Planning your league for the next season will be good if you have to start earlier. This is to avoid some important aspect of the game not being completed at the right time. The usual league happens during April and most of them had picked already the draft at least one to two months prior the start of the season.
