There are several types of Guadalajara vacation rentals available such as condos, apartments, single room rentals and even large homes.
Guadalajara is a wonderful city with a proud culture, lovely architecture, great food, lots of shopping spots and fun attractions.
To find yourself a good rental, think about your personal preferences and the kinds of amenities you would like the rental to have. Renting your own Mexican apartment or home can be a great adventure.
You will have more opportunities to live like real Mexicans do, shop for your groceries and perhaps get to know some of your local neighbors and neighborhood.
Before you rent out just any accommodation, find out what is important to you; such as:
Do you want wireless access?
Do you need it to have all furnishings, couch, bed, dishes, etc.
Does it need to be close to a specific location?
Do you need a full kitchen or is just a hotplate and microwave okay?
Would you prefer a luxury rental?
The choosier you are, the pricier your accommodations may be, just realize that you are paying for comfort and certain amenities (wireless access for example). Most Guadalajara vacation rental owners really do their best to try and cater to the needs of prospective renters.
On the other hand, if you are on a tight budget, there are also single room rentals with just a simple bed and bathroom or maybe you might be sharing the home or apartment with other guests.
You can find great prices on some rental homes, however, if it is very inexpensive you might lack certain "extras" that other pricier rentals may have. It might also be in an out of the way location.
Some of the Guadalajara vacation rentals may not have central air conditioning. However, many of the residents who live there feel like they do not really need it because the weather is very mild.
If you do not think you can live without a/c on your vacation then just adjust your search to find a rental that has it!
One piece of advice that you should never forget is to always have a way to reach the owner of the rental unit. It will come in handy if you have an emergency.
When in doubt, ask! If you are fully prepared and know what to expect in your rental you will have a much smoother and happier vacation.
